In our shamanic practices, learning the nuts and bolts of metaphysical techniques and methods of transformation are just the very beginning. This spirit Passages program supports advanced students to develop a deeper and more intense spiritual potency for the purpose of healing themselves, others and the planet.
Your health depends on the health and power of your environment. Our ecosystem requires our heart-felt and loving participation to regain it’s vitality. This program will support your personal, spiritual relationships with Nature to grow.
Reverent Participatory Relationship is the way shamans capable of miraculous feats, live their lives. Approaching the world feeling a humble respect--expressing consideration and appreciation for all beings, these kinds of shamans participate in the world with profoundly coherent energy. Shamans understand very deeply that everything in the world is inspirited and that no one can exist without the complex interactions of the others with whom we share the planet. This allows their actions to arise from a deep sense sacred reciprocity in motion.
Each long weekend of the program will have one of the four elements as its unifying theme. You will also be supported to explore the living beings with whom you share the ecosystem and learn how to develop relationships with the trees, plants, insects, rocks, and birds. Miracles that are needed in these times require changes in ourselves as well as developing relationships with the many “Spirit People” that exist in the Middleworld.
In addition, you will explore powerful new forms of healing which are uniquely suited to today’s troublesome diseases and have opportunities to receive supervision of your personal shamanic practice, as well.
The program will meet for a total of four intensive, long weekends at a lakeside location in coastal Maine. You will be bringing the work home by doing journey work, specific exercises and ceremony on your land or near to where you live and you will be supported to create a National Wildlife Federation Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
You must have graduated a Spirit Passages Two-Year Training OR an Foundation for Shamanic Studies Three-Year Training OR Sandra Ingerman’s Teacher Training OR another advanced shamanic training to join this program.
Please provide a two-page letter detailing your personal reasons for wishing to enroll. This letter should include indicate your previous training.
A non-refundable application fee of $500 must be included with your letter and application form. If accepted into the program, you will be required to provide a valid Visa or Mastercard to set up the payment schedule for the remaining tuition. This is an 18-month payment schedule of ~ $250 per month. You are also responsible for food and lodging costs.
We will journey on each application.

Spirit Passages’ Tenth Two-year Apprenticeship |

This program was created to provide you with experiences of the ancient ways of the shaman. You will learn diverse shamanic methods from around the globe, have opportunities to grow a deep relationship with Spirit and integrate these practices into your life. Benefits of this program include opportunities to experience life with more power, confidence and joy. In addition, you will be gaining skills to heal yourself, other people, animals and the Earth.
You will learn classic healing methods such as extraction, power animal retrieval, soul retrieval, sound doctoring, deposession, psychopomp and absentee healing with an emphasis on ethical responsibility, clear diagnostic work and following the guidance of Spirit. You will have opportunities to experience initiations, group rituals, spiritual manifestation and work directly with your guides. An introduction to Medicine for the Earth ritual healing methods will also be included in this program.
This program meets for a total of six intensive, long weekends at a lakeside location in southern, coastal Maine. You need to be able to journey successfully to the Upper and Lower Worlds for this program and feel a strong connection to your Teachers and Power Animals.
Please provide a two-page letter detailing your personal reasons for wishing to enter the apprenticeship along with the registration form. This letter should include where you learned journeying.
If accepted into the program, you will be required to provide a valid Visa or Mastercard to set up the payment schedule for the remaining tuition. This is an 20-month payment schedule of ~ $250 per month. You are also responsible for food and lodging costs.
We will journey on each application.
You can use this program as the prerequisite for the Spirit Passages Graduate Program.

What Shamanism is and isn't |
|
Shamanism is the 60,000 year old spiritual foundation of
our ancient ancestors. It understands that all of the
natural world is not only alive but sentient. A shaman
is one who has disciplined herself or himself to expand
perception into this larger world of
spirit/consciousness for purposes of insight, guidance
or healing on behalf of others.
Shamanism isn't a religion.
It is a healing and problem-solving method which
coexists peacefully with many religious traditions. It
works along side Christianity and Judaism in the
Americas and with Buddhism and Hinduism in Asia.
Grounded in nature, shamanism is compatible with beliefs
that see human beings and the Earth as dependent upon
each other for health and well being. It also honors the
personal power, intuition and sacredness of each
individual.
